SHIPPING AND RETURNS

SHIPPING

DOMESTIC

For all orders within the United States, we usually ship using UPS Ground or USPS, unless another option is requested by the customer.  
Once we have the order completed and packaged, the Order Status will be changed to "Shipped" and OPEN BOX M will notify the customer of the tracking information to the email address that is provided on the order.

INTERNATIONAL

For all orders outside of the United States, we will be using United States Postal Service FIRST CLASS or United State Postal Service PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL services.  This service is a 6 - 10 business day solution that will be handled by the contracted international carrier once the package arrives in the desired Country.  Once we have the order completed and packaged, the Order Status will be changed to "Shipped" and OPEN BOX M will notify the customer of the tracking information to the email address that is provided on the order. 

IMPORTANT: International Custom fees (or duties) will be applied to the order when the package arrives in the desired Country.  This is an additional fee that is charged to the consumer for the package to be imported through Customs.  Open Box M does not have any way of knowing what the Custom (or duties) charges will be for the desired International destination.  Also, Open Box M is not responsible for the handling of packages once the package clears Customs in the desired International destination.  The tracking number will be changed to the contracted carrier's tracking number and the United States Postal Service tracking number will no longer be valid.  It is VERY IMPORTANT to include a valid telephone number and email address on ALL International orders so that the customer can be contacted once the package clears Customs.


Below is a list of our shipping and handling rates for both Domestic (USA) and International orders.  Our charges are based on the amount of the order total.  We have found this method to be very fair when the weight and the size of the package are considered.

DOMESTIC

Orders shipped within the United states:


The lowest shipping rate is $8 for all orders under $24.
When the total is greater than or equal to $24 and less than $100 shipping is $12
When the total is greater than or equal to $100 and less than $180 shipping is $14
When the total is greater than or equal to $180 and less than $400 shipping is $24
When the total is greater than or equal to $400 and less than $600 shipping is $28
When the total is greater than or equal to $600 and less than $1000 shipping is $38
For all orders that total over $1000, the shipping and handling charge is $52

INTERNATIONAL*

ORDERS SHIPPED OUTSIDE OF THE United States:

The lowest shipping rate is $24 for orders under $50.
When the total is greater than or equal to $50 and less than $200 shipping is $42.
When the total is greater than or equal to $200 and less than $400 shipping is $76.
When the total is greater than or equal to $400 and less than $600 shipping is $84.
When the total is greater than or equal to $600 and less than $1000 shipping is $110.
For all orders greater than $1000 shipping will be $130.
* FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:  The receiving customer will be able to see the actual postage that Open Box M had paid to deliver the package to the desired Country.  The actual dollar amount that was paid by Open Box M will be shown on the USPS shipping label that is on the package.  Usually this cost is greater than the price (listed above) that is charged at the time of checkout.  In some instances, (usually packages going to Canada or Mexico) the postage cost will be less than the shipping cost (quoted above) that is charged to International customer at the time of checkout.  When the postage is less, Open Box M will refund the difference back to the card that is on file.  Open Box M will never ask for more money for postage from the Intrernational customer, unless the cost is significantly more.  Open Box M is able to refund money back to all credit cards and through PayPal but Open Box M cannot charge additional money to a credit card without first having the authorization from the card holder.  

returns

Returns will be accepted for new items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund on the product, excluding shipping and handling. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. In most cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
It is important to pack the returned item(s) appropriately before giving the package to your carrier.  If the returned item(s) are damaged during shipment, we will NOT be able to issue a complete refund.

Orders for Palette/Panel Holders, Lightweight Kits, Pelican Pochade Boxes and Palm Boxes will usually ship within 1 - 2 weeks once an order has been placed.
Orders for "Accessories Only" usually ship within 1 - 5 days.
