The Manfrotto MK190X3 tripod legs with the Manfrotto 496 RC2 ball head is Open Box M's preferred tripod/ball head choice. We have been supplying this particular tripod/ball head combination since about 2016 and it has stood the test of time. If you are looking for overall stability and not so much for a lightweight and minimal folded length option, this is an excellent tripod to consider.

We currently offer the Manfrotto MT 190X3 tripod legs and the Manfrotto 496 RC2 Ball Head as our preferred tripod option. The complete tripod and ball head weighs 5.5 lb. and has a maximum height of 67 inches and a folded length of 27.25 inches when the ball head is attached. This tripod/ball head combination will provide very solid reliability along with a very quick and easy set up.
The Manfrotto MT 190X3 tripod legs have a 15.4 lb. load capacity. They will expand to a maximum height of 63 inches and fold down to a minimum of 23.25 inches. These legs have the capacity to expand beyond what most tripod legs will handle, allowing for greater ground stability. Each individual leg has "Flip Lock" levers and will adjust to 3 different angles to help accommodate for uneven ground.
The Manfrotto 496 RC2 Ball Head has a load capacity of 22 lb which will provides very solid reliability. The ball head is 4 inches in height and weighs 1 pound. There is one teardrop lever for angle adjustment and one tension knob on the opposite side for ball head tension and rotation. The ball head includes one Manfrotto 200PL quick release plate.
